History

Kulfi is the ice-cream of India, originated during Mughal Empire in the sixteenth century. It is popular throughout India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangaldesh, Nepal, Burma and the Middle East. It is widely available in restrauants serving cusines from the Indian subcontinent, around the world. Kulfi has similarities to ice-cream in appearance and taste, However, it is richer and creamier and takes a longer time to melt compared to traditional ice-creams.
